The Anwar Salman Award ( Foundation Creativity Award)

The Anwar Salman Cultural Foundation was established as a non-profit foundation in recognition of late poet Anwar Salman within the Lebanese poetry and his inspirational influence on the Lebanese, and regional literary scenes.The foundation seeks to safeguard Anwar Salman's literary legacy, and promote his values: peace and love for the homeland, and respect for human dignity.The foundation has established the annual "Anwar Salman Award" granted to poets and artists.

The AUB Student Award  (Anwar Salman Award in Literature at AUB)

Established in 2019, the Anwar Salman Award in Literature ( student award) will be awarded to an AUB undergraduate student based on the following criteria as evaluated by the dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences:

a. Priority is given to a graduating student completing his/her BA in Arabic. If there is no qualified undergraduate student majoring in Arabic, the award will be given to a student who has taken courses in the Department of Arabic. Students will be assessed based on their creative writing skills or research papers on poetry.

b. The recipient must demonstrate academic excellence and demonstrate a commitment to tolerance, inclusivity, cultural understanding, and freethinking.
